It has a magical warm light, beautiful colours and tones, depth and all this combines to create an unique photo of a sunset on a shoreline. It captures a great expanse of the scape yet it is intimate through its capture of the dog-walker and other silhouettes. Janice's photos always have a unique vision and treatment and this is a prime example of it.

Not only is it just a very pleasing and well composed shot, it also brings to mind one of life's lessons. That lesson being "You can't know where you are going until you know where you've been"
The hills valleys and life's curves in the rear view mirror and smooth traveling out in front.

I've always liked this photo since it first appeared in The Pinnacle and I'm pleased to have the chance to give Paul the nomination to the Pinnacle blog and to actually express to him just how his wonderful photograph has touched me

Untitled by Anderson Fang

The photograph is serene and very beautiful.
Also, there is a technical mastery at play which means that beauty can shine without any distractions - The composition elegantly breaks the photograph into three areas of contrasting brightness, tone, colour and texture.
The tonal range for a single exposure is remarkable.
The light, whether in the sun’s rays or subtly and softly creeping over the rocks is stunning and I admire Anderson’s choice to keep the image low key rather than simply overpower the darkness with a high iso/long exposure combination.

I love the gothic-like look of the city in contrast with the gorgeous sunset, the fine pattern on the rivers surface and the city lights that add the final touch in the 3dimensionality of this shot.

I love Greek Mythology and this shot takes a unique perspective on one of the most photographed buildings in the world. Next year, I hope to visit Athens and will use this shot as inspiration.

When this Heron image by Dog Ma first came into the pool I was totally blown away by it. The reflection in the water and golden tones give it a fairytale like quality. Simply beautiful

I am nominating the shot for the Pinnacle Blog... the moment of capture, the look in his face, that bandana, the breeze give a great sense of being there. It is a token shot of yours and one that really represents your portraits and style very well. Has a great sense of location, the profile works perfectly.

Morning to market by Samthe8th

morning to market
morning to market, première mise en ligne par samthe8th.

Nominated by DownTown Pictures

As with all of the incredible images coming from the many outstanding artists in our group, there have been many times when I was taken aback by the sheer beauty of the moment captured within moment captured. There are many images within the group pool that I have faved, that I have truly fallen in love with, that have made me say, as well as I'm sure, many others, I wish I had taken that. Many of samthe8th's images have made me feel this way over and over again. But this image, " Morning to market", captures my imagination for this ability to see more than just an image requires more than just the ability to point a camera, It requires the sense of the moment, which one day I hope to have as samthe8th. I nominate this image for our blog because it tells more than a story, it shows what an incredible photographer can see when he feels the image instead of just seeing it.

Jellies are so amazing and this is one of the most beautiful photo of them that I have ever seen. I think black and white is the perfect format for these creatures and the detail is wonderful. I feel myself calming just by gazing at these floating wonders. congrats.

"I'm nominating this shot for the Pinnacle Blog... such a fun shot of a normal scene - the depth and the people in the background bring the scene to life - the moment really captures the spirit of the location. A memorable one for me among the shots that have gone through the group. "

"I find this shot sooooo creative and attention grabbing. It draws the eye in and makes us search the whole picture. I sat staring at it for a while the first time, wondering just how you did that. Simply put, I LOVE it! You are a genius and not to mention an all around nice guy!"

"I've never quite understood how you process your shots, but have always been a huge fan of the way your images end up. The car in this shot reminds me of the movie "CARS" where the cars all have personalities, somehow the processing cartoonifies it, which I think is pretty awesome, the way the car is popped up off the back wheel and appears to be bouncing. The Morgan Stanley and Starbucks logos in the back, the 585 BWay add an obvious element of location to the shot, and the driver was caught in a great moment. The diagonal lines add a great element. So much to see here and comment on."

"I've looked at so many deserving shots that are great. I love so many of the Pinnacle HOF winners, but sadly am only allowed to pick one for my nomination to the BLOG. One that I have loved since the first time I saw it is Dog Ma's Black Lab shot. I love the dog's expression and the lighting of this shot. It is representative of Jody's animal shots - she is great at them."
