Not sure in what category it won, but it should have won in ambiance. It imparts a strong sense of emotions and feelings. Accomplished by choosing a perfect setting and then composing it brilliantly - on location and in in post processing.

I love a good landscape photo of snow-covered mountains! If there's a lake with a beautiful reflection, all the better!

No Need to Look Over my Shoulder... by PGornell

No Need to Look Over my Shoulder... by PGornell

Nominated by Space Ritual

Not only is it just a very pleasing and well composed shot, it also brings to mind one of life's lessons. That lesson being "You can't know where you are going until you know where you've been"
The hills valleys and life's curves in the rear view mirror and smooth traveling out in front.

I've always liked this photo since it first appeared in The Pinnacle and I'm pleased to have the chance to give Paul the nomination to the Pinnacle blog and to actually express to him just how his wonderful photograph has touched me

"choosing just one shot is impossible, but this shot from .sashi I quite liked- it has a playful, dreamy quality to it, almost a black&white shot, but the splash of color brings it alive. It does not matter that it's not 'studio sharp' the sense of the child running is conveyed through the photograph beautifully."
