Not only is it a great seasonal image, but there is something very touching about the dusting of snow on the little pine tree. I like the way the image is composed.

Upon see this image I can't help imaging I was one of the three people. Those grains look like drifting sands in the air, and I can vividly feel the pain while the harsh wind hits my face. Ouch!

The composition is unorthodox and extreme, and that's how the ambiance is revealed. By marginalizing the ground (the only border here) and eliminating colors, the atmosphere plays the leading role. Saúl amazingly catches the "air" so well. Although the elements are few, none of them can be expelled. Without those thin clouds (?) the sky will be dull, and without the silhouettes the image becomes lifeless. It might look simple, but to make it is totally a different story.

Well, one it had to be and I finally settled on this one. Rush hour in the harbour :) We've seen countless light trails of vehicles on roads, have you ever seen a light trail of a ship? And the best part, Anderson shares how he got this shot on the photopage.
